Fatema Fidvi, Senior Teacher

The one thing she loves most about dancing: "Dance brings about a structure and stability in my life. I always come out of class feeling happier, no matter what!"

Fatema’s tale with Ballet is inspiring. When she first watched the film Center Stage, her heart was entranced. She felt a deep feeling in her stomach as if she met something she was destined for. That was her first brush with Ballet. With that connection in her heart, at the age of fourteen, she started her Ballet training.

After her three years of dance training, Fatema was presented with the opportunity to be an assistant instructor at The School of Classical Ballet and Western Dance. There was no looking back for her ever since. She has been teaching at the school for the last five years now. She successfully appeared for her Intermediate Ballet exams in 2023.

Not only is Fatema a beautiful dancer, but she also holds a Master's in Clinical Psychology. This enables her to understand and communicate with students effectively, making their learning process more constructive. She brings with her sincerity, professionalism and a keen eye for detail. She has successfully completed all her graded examinations, including RAD Grade 8 and the Advanced Foundation level. Fatema is currently training to become a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (London) through the RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching program.

Trupti Zingade, Teacher

The one thing she loves most about dancing - "Dance brings a smile to my face. It's the best medium of expression for me, and the feeling of performing on stage is magical!"

Trupti was introduced to the world of dance at the young age of six, when she started learning Bharatnatyam. She completed her seven-year degree in Bharatnatyam and went on to learn at a higher level under Smt. Rohini Singhi's tutelage.

However, Trupti also had a desire to learn more about other dance forms. She joined Shiamak Davar's Institute of Performing Arts for the same. In her Shiamak's Special Potential Batch and Advanced Training Batch of five years, she realized she wanted to follow her passion professionally and make a career in it.
Hence, after her graduation in Pharmacy, Trupti undertook another training with Shiamak as part of the One Year Program (OYP). It was here that she trained with Tushna Dallas and fell in love with Ballet. She was thoroughly convinced that she wanted to pursue her teaching career in the art form.

Trupti has been teaching with The School of Classical Ballet and Western Dance since 2018.

Along with teaching at the School, Trupti is continuing her training in Ballet, Kathak and Bharatnatyam. She recently completed her master's degree in Bharatanatyam and successfully cleared the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Intermediate Ballet exam.

Trupti also danced for the NMACC production, 'The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation' – conceived, written and directed by Feroz Abbas Khan.

Hemant Raney, Teacher

Hemant is an enthusiastic and sincere teacher, who loves dancing and is always ready to explore and try new dance forms.

He started of as an keen student of ballet in March 2013, during his One Year Training Programme at Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts. Being awestruck by the dance form, he joined The School of Classical Ballet and Western Dance to discover and learn the nuances of ballet.

Showcasing great skill and commitment, Hemant has achieved the Intermediate Degree in Ballet from Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and an Intermediate Degree in Modern Theatre from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). He has also earned medals in Latin American and Jazz dance forms.

Currently an instructor at The School of Classical Ballet and Western Dance, Hemant is also pursuing the Certificate Course in Dance Teaching (CDT) from Royal Academy of Dance to further hone his teaching skills.

Carrying his theatre experience and knowledge gained from his stint as Assistant Director for a few TV shows and movies, Hemant brings out the best in his students by nudging their artistic skills.

Dance for Hemant is his destiny, he says, “I believe in the philosophy - what you seek is seeking you. It is my pleasure that dance sought me and has become my destiny.”
