Ballet Examinations and Structure
An examiner from the revered Royal Academy of Dance (London) conducts the Ballet exams. The curriculum is divided into the Children’s Graded Examinations and the Vocational Graded Examinations.
The Children’s Graded Examinations enable students to pursue the art of Ballet at an amateur level. The Vocational Graded Examinations are for the student who has both the capability and desire to pursue Ballet at a more professional level. It includes Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2.
Modern Theatre and Jazz Exam Structure
The ISTD is one of the most well-known dance examination boards in the UK and worldwide, conducting over 120,000 exams each year globally. Children, students, amateurs, and professionals can take a variety of vocational, recreational, and social dance exams.
An examiner from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (London) flies down to India and examines our students.
The examination structure is divided into Children and Vocational Graded Examinations.The Primary level and Grades 1 to 6 is covered under the Modern Theatre syllabus, as well as the four vocational examinations:
- Intermediate Foundation
- Intermediate
- Advanced 1
- Advanced 2
- Jazz Awards including Bronze, Silver and Gold medals are offered as well
Latin American Exam Structure
Latin American Dance is a rhythmic celebration that traces its roots back to the enchanting Eighteenth Century. This exuberant dance form finds its heart in countries like Cuba, Mexico, and Brazil.
It includes mesmerizing movements that captivate both dancers and spectators alike. Usually danced with a partner, the dance form includes rhythmic movement with intricate footwork. It is also danced by groups of couples in fun social gatherings.
For the Latin American Dance exams, an examiner from the ISTD travels from abroad to conduct them. Students can appear for the Pre-Bronze, Bronze, Silver and Gold medal tests. Training is also offered to students who wish to pursue teaching qualifications in Latin American Dance from the ISTD.
